A daylong training programme was organized by KVK, Ri-Bhoi in Purdwa Village of Ri-Bhoi district on 13th March, 2024.Altogether 30 tribal farmers took part in the daylong programme. The programme was conducted by Dr.Meghna Sarma, SMS, Agronomy, KVK, Ri-Bhoi, ICAR Complex, Umiam where she has emphasized on the use of natural farming practices for sustainable hill farming. At the beginning farmers were given lecture on four pillars of natural farming and their importance to improve the livelihood of farming community. In the later part they were demonstrated the preparation of Jeevamrit, Beejamrit, Panchagavya, Neemastra etc. Hands on training were rendered where farmers took part during the whole session. Also seed distribution was done alongwith the distribution of leaflet on Natural farming in local language.
