Three days training programme on Entrepreneurship Development for Sustaining the Livelihood of Women Farmers in Mizoram under ABI Project

         The ICAR Mizoram Centre, Kolasib conducted Three days training on“Entrepreneurship Development for Sustaining the Livelihood of Women Farmers in Mizoram” during 19th -21stMarch, 2024. The programme was organized under Agri-Business Incubation (ABI).
         A total of 29 farmers from Thingdawl, Bukvannei and Meidum villages of Kolasib district participated in the training programme. Various topics were covered in this training programme like integrated farming system for enhancing the production and income of farmers; Sustaining the livelihood of farmers through backyard poultry farming; Economic analysis of livestock and poultry farming etc. Farmers were also given a practical demonstration on Oystermushroom cultivation, Poultry & Hatchery unit management and processing of turmeric. Experts from ICAR Mizoram Centredelivered lectures during the three days training programme. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Lalhruaipuii, Senior Scientist (Vety. Micro.), Dr. Blessa Sailo Senior Scientist (Vety. Public Health), Shri. P.L. Lalrinsanga, Scientist (Aquaculture),Dr. Lungmuana, Senior Scientist (Soil Science)and Dr. Vanlalruati, Scientist (Floriculture).
