Mushroom Training cum input distribution conducted at ICAR Nagaland Centre

        The ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre successfully conducted 5 Days training programme on “From Spawn to Harvest: Intensive Training in Mushroom Cultivation” during 18th - 22nd March 2024, under AICRP on Mushroom. Dr. Mathew S. Baite and Dr. Aabon W. Yanthan served as Organizing and Co-organizing secretaries respectively for the programme. Dr. Azeze Seyie, Sh. Jyotish Barman, Dr. Harendra Verma and Dr. S. Ruth Assumi served as Co-Coordinators. Altogether 33 trainees from Medziphema, Khaibung and Kukidolong attended the programme. The training was provided on basics of mushroom cultivation to beginners focussing on practical aspects of spawn production and mushroom cultivation techniques. The trainees were also provided with exposure visit to mushroom farm at Dimapur. Critical inputs such as hand sprayer spawn and PP bags required for mushroom cultivation were provided to all of the trainees. Leaflet entitled, “Mushroom Cultivation: Step-by-Step Guide for Beginners” was also distributed to all the trainees. The closing ceremony was graced by Dr. H. Kalita, Course Director and Head of Regional Centre, ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre.
