Liarkhla, Ri-Bhoi District, Meghalaya – August 28, 2024 – On August 27, 2024, a one-day training session on Integrated Farming System (IFS) with a focus on livestock integration was conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ri-Bhoi in Liarkhla village of Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya. The event, which saw participation from 27 local farmers, featured practical workshops, demonstrations, and expert talks aimed at enhancing farm productivity and sustainability. The training highlighted the benefits of integrating livestock such as chicken, ducks, piggery and fishery with traditional farming practices to improve soil health and generate additional income. This initiative marks a key step in advancing sustainable agriculture in the region.
