As part of the ongoing Krishi Swarna Samridhi Week (KSSW), Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur organized a training session on package and practices of potato cultivation, alongside the distribution of 100 Quintals of Kufri Jyoti variety seed potato on 7/12/2024.
        Dr. Bendangla Imsong, Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Plant Breeding, KVK Dimapur, was the in-charge of the event. The training session, which drew participation from local farmers, was led by Dr. Aabon Yanthan, Scientist, ICAR Nagaland Centre. Dr. Yanthan imparted valuable insights on the latest agricultural practices related to potato cultivation, providing farmers with crucial knowledge to improve yields and enhance their farming practices.
        The program also included the distribution of 100 quintals Kufri Jyoti variety seed potato, a high-yielding variety known for its resilience and quality. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Bendangla Imsong who expressed gratitude to all the participants and the expert for their contribution to the success of the event. Altogether 62 farmers and 10 officials from ICAR Nagaland Centre and KVK Dimapur participated in the programme.
