ICAR - Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Namsai organized a day long programme and handed over a power tiller and grass cutter to the Custom Hiring Centre (CHC) that has been developed under National Innovation on Climate Resilient Agriculture project at Krishnapur village. The distribution programme was also attended by Village Climate Resilient Management Committee (VCRMC) of the same village. The VCRMS is a committee constituted at Krishnapur by KVK Namsai to monitor and report various climate resilient activities undergoing in the village. Eighty two farmers/farms women including DHO, Public leaders and KVK scientists were presented in the programme.
        During the programme, welcome address was given by Dr. Madhumita Sonowal Bora, SMS (Plant Protection), KVK Namsai and also discussed about handling and maintenance of implements and fixed the price for hiring of equipment from CHC.
        Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Namsai Dr. Utpal Barua briefed about the programme and explained about the importance of Custom Hiring Centre. Dr. Binod Dutta Borah, Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science) discussed about adoption of different technology under NICRA-TDC programme for upliftment of farmer family income. Mr. Gokul Gogoi, Public leader, urged farmers of the village to utilize the technology properly and maintain it. Mr. Mardo Nino, DHO, Namsai discussed the different scheme under horticulture and requested the farmers to draw benefit the schemes. Ms. Shravani Sahani, SMS (Agril. Extension), KVK Namsai and Nang Nancy Munglang, SRF, NICRA-TDC facilitated to conduct the programme and handing of over of equipments.
