In a significant step towards promoting organic cultivation and promotion of Organic Biofertilizer and Biopesticides products of ABI entrepreneur, a one day awareness programme on “Approaches for Organic Cultivation of Rice for Agro-Ecosystem of Manipur”, was organized by ABI ICAR Manipur Centre in collaboration with Green Biotech Ecosolution Pvt. Ltd. on 9th August, 2024 at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre. The Chief Guest and Head of Regional Centre, Dr. Ramgopal Laha, emphasized the importance of organic cultivation practices in the region and highlighted the achievements of Green Biotech Ecosolution Pvt. Ltd., a successful entrepreneur of ICAR-ABI centre. Dr. Kh. Rishikanta Singh, Incharge ABI ICAR Manipur Centre highlighted that this awareness programme is an effort to convert rice cultivation into organic mode through the intervention of agripreneurs. Dr. Asem Sundari, Founder of Green Biotech Ecosolution Pvt. Ltd., sharing their success journey and experience have also stated that they have received an invitation from the Prime Minister’s Office to attend the 78th Independence Day celebration at New Delhi. Five (5) potential farmers have been provided with biofertilizers and biopesticides inputs. Various bioformulation and bioproducts were also exhibit and demonstrated as part of the awareness programme. A technical session was also organized where Dr. Ak. Ratankumar Singh, Dr. Arati N. and Dr. T. Basanta Singh, deliberated on various aspects of organic cultivation including disease, pest and soil nutrient management using bio fertilizers and bio pesticides. A total of 34 participants had participated in the programme.
        The programme was successfully coordinated by Dr. Kh. Rishikanta Singh, Co-PI ABI, Dr. Arati N, Sr. Scientist and Mr. H. Naresh Singh, YP-I, ABI.
